my truck is a 4x4 that im swapping into. Do I not need the rear vss? I thought I read that my factory 60e vss plugged into the vss of the 80e and I had to run a new twisted pair from the iss to pin 22/23 at the pcm. Thanks for the reply

I think the original senor goes to the front and the added sensor wires goes to the rear, which on a 4x4 is in the transfer case.

I think your right. Just read the 4wd swap sticky again and it appears the plug stays in the 80e at the rear, the original vss in the transfer case stays put, and the new iss on the 80e gets wired to 22/23. Gonna be a fun weekend!
