do you got acess to that diagram? thanks~ truckeez

the 2001-2 astro vans also ran the 411 -with that pos 4l60e.
No. Selecting the 4.3 gives a 60E PCM pinout. Have to select 8.1L to get the 80E PCM pinout. You could merge the 2 together and most likely be right.

That's exactly what I was wanting to confirm! Thank you!

and for the record even though my post count isn't high doesn't mean I haven't been around for quite a while. I typically stay quiet and read everything I can until I have confused enough to have to post lol!

Still unsure what way I want to go on the tune portion as I am new enough to tuning to be extremely dangerous. So far my abilities are raising the top speed and disabling the rear o2 codes lol.

I use efi live v2 mainly because I have a dirtymax and that seems to be the tuner of choice for he diesels. Seems the norm for most guys on here is hptuners. I'm fairly certain I could manage a segment swap fairly easily as I have a PCM from an 03 2500hd with lq4-4l80e combo. I'm guessing I could use my truck as a mule to plug the 03 PCM into, copy the calibration file and then swap back to the original PCM. Then I could copy the transmission segment over to the current file I have for my truck. I would rather have the torque converter stay locked up at 0% tps though which is what turned me on to this post.

Lots of very good info so far

You can do this with HPT, or get someone who knows how to hex edit your EFILive tun to enable it.

Where can I get the pcm connector pins for the extra vss sensor for pin 22 and 23?

I saw these but not sure if they are correct

Those are the correct ones. I did the swap myself and that's the kind you should use.

Any help here? This is the connector on a red and blue connector harness dbc. Nothing really seems to match up.

Anyone have a picture of the wiring i'm supposed to move around on a 07 nnbs 80 swap. I can't see any images at the beggining of this post now since photo bucket sucks.

Default 4l80 swap on a gen 4

ok guys, This post has solved alot of problems, maybe it can solve mine.

i swapped a 4l80(converted to 2wd) into a 09 silverado, I used the harness adaptor from pcm of NC, i got it running, but the speedometer is way off, like it says im doing half the speed i am actually going.

I changed the few parameters in hp tuners that the instrutions on the harness told me to.

Im wondering if i need to wire in the front ISS speed sensor? currently i just have my stock 4l60 speed sensor plugged into the back.

please help!

Default 2003 4L80e only has ISS, no vss on rear

Good day all, im doing a 4.8/4L60 to 6.0/4L80 swap in my 05 half ton. I've got an 04 6.0, and an 03 trans but it only has the front input speed sensor, the rear just has a factory plug. Can I just swap the vss from my 60e over into that spot or what do I do. I've read the stickies lots maybe i missed the answer. Thanks!

trans was from an 03 1500HD if it matters

That's a 4x4 unit if it has a plug and not a sensor.
