Hi 06Sierra, before anything let me congratulate you for such a great explanation on how to take the transmission down! THANK YOU!!, and great pics as well!!

I have a veeery little problem, somehow i lost the little bolt that holds the line bracket on drivers side.. the 8 mm hex one... the one showing on your #14th step...
and i havent be able to put a new one back, because cant find the right one! no one fits! if you are so kind to please let me know what fricking size the thread is and if it is standard or milimetric tread, so i can go buy the right one for once!

The lines are loose and they rattle when riding, is not the noise that worries me, is the fact that they may brake! and yea well the rattling noise is annoying!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH in advance, i hope you can help me out with this little one.

Best Regards

Ale Bar.

Is there any sort of trick for mating the new trans back to the engine? And to reattach the torque converter to the flywheel, do I rotate the engine to get the hole in the flywheel in a good spot and then turn the TC from the bottom inspection hole?

Use the cavity where the starter is. You'll have to spin the engine so the TC/flexplate hole is accessible.

Reach up into the starter cavity and spin the TC. Thread the bolt, torque to 44ft lbs. Repeat 2x.
