Is a 4-link worth it?

Hmm...good point. Didn't think of the bags for that application. I'll look into it, might just go that route because I do load my bed up often.

I got a set for free from a friend and they are awesome. I leave my rancho's on bout the middle settings and run bout 40-50psi in the helpers depending on the load and its amazing how much smoother it rides. Plus you can change the rake of the truck

If you're just going to auto cross, and prefer something custom fab'd, then my first choice would be a 3-link with a watt's link. Or maybe even a decoupled torque arm setup with a watt's link. Both could perform equally as well on the strip as a 4 link with a few adjustments.

You're going to need to make a compromise with the spring rates though, since the optimal spring rate for cornering probably wont be the best for the strip. Just something to think about since it sounds like you planning on doing both.

Yup, well your right vanilla!
I wasn't really excited about installing some bolt on 4-link that is designed for bagged trucks and would actually re-use the stock leaf spring mounting locations so luckily, a buddy offered to build me a 4-link, pan hard bar and coil-over set-up himself. So this is great news and a big huge relief. I was real hesitant on leaving my truck at a shop without having clear directions and a plan for them to follow.
Anyways, gonna go with some fox coil-overs and probably chassis works 4-links with customs rods. Won't be finished till May.

Anyways thanks for the suggestions guys.
