I've got a 4.8 5 spd with bolt ons. First clutch lasted 45k miles and I beat it pretty good. Went with a luk for 1st replacement, babied it and lasted the same 45k. Now I've got a tr224 cam and tune ready to go in and want a quality clutch behind it. Narrowed it down to a spec or centerforce from what I could find for these 4.8s. The spec 2+ is cheaper than the stage 3, and don't know too much about the centerforce dual friction. I've heard the spec clutches seem the chatter a lot and a buddy of mine said he couldn't stand it in his ls1 trans am. Read others on here seem to like them. Anyone have any input before I drop $500+. Why would the stage 2+ be cheaper than the 3s? Thanks for any help yall

 

what'd you end up going with? i'm in the same boat now... bolt-on 5.3 4x4 that pulls a trailer, so i want better then stock/LuK level. centerforce & spec 2+ are looking like my only decent options.
