Think I'm finally ready to drop my truck but I can't decide how much drop for my daily driver. I'm torn between the two normal options, a 2/4 or a 4/6. I thought about a 3/5 but if I'm going to have to notch the frame I may as well go 4/6.
So my questions are: Who daily drives on a 4/6 drop? Do you have any ground clearance problems? What tire size for 22x9.5" wheels? I currently run 285/35/22s but I'm not sure if they will work with a 4/6. If you have a 4/6 drop on your daily do you wish you went with a 2/4? I guess I'm leaning towards a 2/4 but I'm afraid I'll just wish I went lower. Thanks for the input.

I dd my truck with a 6/8 drop...My drop consists of DJM 4" lca's, McGaughys 2" spindles....4" Shackles/hangers, and 4" McGaughys leafs...It rides really good , but I have custom shocks front/rear
-But there are road hazards that get in the way daily...kinda get used to it..I run 17" Denali wheels now with a 275/55/17..They account for alot of my smooth ride...Getting the 18" Denali 6 spokes soon..

Look into a 3/6 setup, it sits level and isn't quite so low in the front for things that might get in the way from day to day... I'll be running something similar but no leaf springs out back. It'll have coil overs though

I have a 4/6 and daily drive it. It's not too bad. You have to dodge a lot of pot holes and occasionally scrape pulling in and out of driveways, but the look is definitely worth it.

3/5 or 4/6, 2/4 will just **** you off imho and you will feel violated and think your money was stolen from you because people will be like man you have a nice looking truck why don't you lower it...
I have always driven 4/6s on my trucks that were lowered, but I have never ran 22s with them, it may be close.
I would say that on a 3/5 or 3/6 you should be okay.
I have a 2010 CC and it's lowered 4/6, I run 275/55/20s up front and 305/50/20s in the rear. I have zero clearance or rubbing problems under 99.9% of the driving I do.
The only time I have any issues is if I have 4 or more people in the truck and I am on the freeway cruising at let's say 70+ mph and I hit big dips then the front tires rub on the fender wells very slightly.
I would think you would be okay for sure at the 3/6, how much clearance do you have with the 22s now?

I have a 4/6 05 cc with 275/45/20 and drive it daily and dont have many problems. I just have to be careful on bad roads. also in alot of parking lots I have to park backwards because of the cement blocks, my bumper has gotten stuck a few times. Other than that its a smooth ride.
