Default 4.56 problems

I've had my 4.56's installed for over a year now and ever since, the truck hits rev-limiter from 1-2 before it shifts. With the original 3.73's it never had a problem. It spun like hell but it shifted right through it. Now it spins but gets stupid before the shift. My buddy took it the past couple of days and has worked on the tune more and it's down now to just hitting the limiter for a second before it shifts. It's better but I'm still at a loss of what to do. My buddy thinks it'll be fine with my slicks but it's frustrating. Anyone else have problems similar or solutions?

I don't know. He always helps me out and has tuned other vehicles for me in the past but this is the first auto I've ever had. That may be my only other option if he can't get it ironed out. Thanks man.

Never had that trouble with the t56!!! Def in the tune and you need to get it ironed out because its hard on the trans. Are you running an 80e now?

I run a built 65e. I don't know about where it shifts as compared to where it commands. He's the tuner lol. He was awesome enough to not only come and tune my truck for free but he also filled the gas up to do it. I'm not questioning his competence by any means, just looking for suggestions to help him out. Thanks guys.

You need to make the WOT shift point about 700RPM sooner. Try that and see what happens.

Try above^^^ I had to make my shift rpm about 700 less than my rev limiter. I also had my mph to close to the rpm shift point-when I had similar problems ( I'm by far not a pro tuner - just personal experience- messing with my tune)

From your video it looks like your mph is not met yet-IMO

Good luck
