Default 4.10's?

I am going to be rebuilding my rear end soon and I was thinking about switching to 4.10's. I am not sure if I want to or not but I can see that they would help get this heavy *** truck moving better. Does any one have any experience with setting up gears in the front ifs case? the rears I am not worried about but the fronts I have heard are a nightmare. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Alex

their not that bad just a little different, you need to take out diff assembly and need a speciel jig to press out the pinion, or you can tap it out and use the old bearings intill you get the pinion depth set, then r&r with new bearings and crush collar, also need special spanner tool to adjust nuts on side off diff case to set backlass and preload, i borrowed it from local dealer, you look at pattern through plastic vent cap, and measure backlash off front yoke with dial indicator, also have to check right axle movement and change shim between diff case and axle housing if out of spec., if you are thinking of doing it yourself pm me your address and i'll mail you a copy of the manual section for the front diff
