Installing gears is not just a matter of bolting things in. Getting the right tolerances shimmed in takes some experience to do correctly, and if done incorrectly can get really expensive. If you find someone that can help you that really knows how to do it, then more power to you, but gear changes are one of the few things that I would not attempt on my own, especially on my daily driver.
