Default 4.10 Gears In

Most of you guys may have read the threads on the rear Detroit TT and gear install. 100 miles or so in them so far and all is well.

Swapped out the front differential last night. Took me 2 hours to drop the original (3.73) and put the new (4.10) in. Little sore from the install Wrestled it out and in from my back on the floor.

I am not beating on anything yet. Taking it mostly easy on the rear gears till they break in. Had to do a small launch last night to test things... There is a noticable difference in acceleration between the 3.73 and 4.10 setups. I might run into traction problems.

Anyway, recommended interval for swapping the gear oils after an install. 500 - 1000 miles?

Do as many heat cycles as you can, in 500 miles change out the diff fluid. I think you will have traction issues for sure!!

yes, you will have traction issues from a dig @ WOT... depending on motor mods, even from a 20 roll.
