I disagree, the trans has 2 more gears, why not use them? Some downshifting is not a bad thing...

If your planning on running alittle shorter tire like you said keep the 3.42s and that should be fine.. Those new trucks aren't geared too bad... A lot better than a 4.8 crew cab/4l60 with 3.23 lol..
