I do alot of highway driving I drive about 70 miles to work and back. will the 4.10s kill my mpg? I know the 4.10 will give me the best performance but I dont want to kill my money on gas thanks Gene

Just depnds what you want them for. If you want best ET at the track go with 4.10's. If you want to win highway races go with 3.73's.

Depends if you have a 6 speed or autmatic as well. IIRC their final ratios are a bit different.

Gene what Tiburon said!! My MPG suck *** right now!!! and I got the 3:73's $10 only last me one day and $20 last me about 2 1/2 days. Just filled her up today with $20 and it's at half a tank. By saturday I'll fill up again. But performance go with 4:10's. It's only like a gallon or 2 in difference in the ratios and a couple of tenths in your E/T!!

4.10s will make a noticable difference over 3.73s performance wise, but there is not too much of a difference in the gas mileage between the two. I would say go with the 4.10s, I love mine. Like Tiburon said, if you are wanting to highway race, go with the 3.73s.

When i do mine the choice will be between 390 and 410. I dont do much highway driving, mostly just around town. 410 would be nice for acceleration, but anything has to be better than these damn 342s i hve now

Going from 3:42 to a 3:73, you wont notice a different, mpg or acceleration. Ive gone down this road before and jumped to 4:10s and then I could notice the acceleration. Save your money and go straight to 4:10s, you will wish you did if you go 3:73s. What about a torque converter?

go with the 4.10 or 3.90. I had 3.42 in old truck and went with 4.10 then to 3.73 then back to 4.10. Gained .5 in the 1/4 over the 3.42 and lost 3/10 in the 1/4 after going with 3.73. I also got 21mpg on the hwy with a 4.8 ecsb truck. driving at 80mph no wot lol
