I want to change my stock 3.42 gears out for a set of 4.10. It is a completely stock rear end(04 Silverado 2WD Factory Posi). Who has the best gears out there? Also is this a direct swap or is there more to it? What is the best course of action?

If you're asking if you can do the swap yourself, then you shouldn't. This is one of the jobs best left to people who do it every day.

Mr Sandog-I plan on having a trained pro do the work. I was just trying to figure out if its simply remove 3.42's and install 4.10's. Or is there more to it.

Dirt track racer 81-why 4.30's vs 4.10's? is there that much difference? i mean going from 3.42's to 4.10's is a big step. i have a tough enough time hooking up 500rwhp the why it is.
