Default 26" drag radials vs 28"+...

if a 26" tire will hook the truck, don't you get the added benefit of the gear ratio change due to the smaller diameter tire?

In other words, if I am running a 31" tire and spinning bad...if I use a 28" tire, my .370 gear then reacts close to that of a .411 w/ a 31"...a 26" tire having the same effect...lowering the ratio to close to that of a .456 w/ a 31" tire?

26" tires are great for a quick gear ratio change....The MT Street Radials are freakin awesome. They hook great, are very stable, and last longer than E.T. streets would. I would gor for some 26" or 27" ET's!

3.70 + 26" tire = 125 mph @6000rpms. And a 4l60e can be programmed to shift to 4th at WOT.

Well it's the same band for 2nd and 4th but I dunno how it would last......F-bodys shift to 4th at WOT stock I believe. With a good 4th servo, band and 3-4 clutch pack it should be o.k. but I wouldn't make a habit of it though.

you better have a built tranny for that or a strong lock up clutch in that converter.

26" tall will get you out the hole and rap up in rpms quicker. if your spinning the 26" or spraying, move up to the 28".

What do you guys think about these wheels? Is there no one out there with a 6-lug lightweight race wheel? I can't seem to find one...
I would prefer much more bs, but these are the only ones I can find w/o buying custom wheels...and these are for the track only...
