2008 4x4 trans is done need help
#1
2008 rcsb lifted 4wd and my trans took a crap. Looking at the 4l80e swap have a couple questions. What do I have to do to keep my mp3023/rotary dial 4wd working? I know i need the input shaft, but is there anything else?

I did an 80e swap on a nbs 02 Yukon so cant speak faithfully to yours. But I needed..
Front driveshdriveshaft
Rear driveshaft
Modded cross member
Bigger spline input on my transfer case

Circle d torque converter
Trans lines and cooler
hp tuners segment swap
Pcm repin for added trans speed sensor
I'm sure I'm missing things but that's the gist.
I'd bet your dial will still work fine. Then again I had a np246 and once again, older different model.

If you're trying to do this on a budget, you don't need a circle D converter. You can get the stock converter and use a crank spacer with flat flexplate.
You also don't have to segment swap. The 80e can be run with the 60e OS and a 5 pin relay. You should tune it to correct the shift points and gear ratios/speedometer.
Don't have to use the extra speed sensor.
I would recommend you do use the speed sensor, repin connector, and do the segment swap...but you don't HAVE to
