I just picked up a 2003 4x4 Tahoe for 500 bucks from my girlfriends parents its having transmission issues. I have a replacement 4l60e in the garage. But its from a 2002 Avalanche 2 wheel drive. Can i swap out the tailshaft and bolt up the t-case and go? Thanks for the help

 

You have to change the output shaft, which requires a complete disassembly. I would suggest looking for another trans, be a lot easier.
