Default 2" Shackles on a Crew Cab

Has anyone here put the 2" rear drop shackles on a crew cab? I was wondering if I would definitely need the shims to correct the change in the pinion angle.

Just from thinking about it, it seems that the longer the truck, the less of a change in the pinion angle that you would get with a drop of this kind, but I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with a CC.

THanks

I have 2" shackles on mine and I desperately need the shim kit, just haven't done it yet. But I know of others that don't, I think it depends from truck to truck.

That's pretty much what I figured, I guess that I'll install them and if I get a vibration, I'll take it to a driveline shop and have them measure the pinion angle to get it right the first time if i feel a vibration.
