Default 2 piston rear calipers

I've been searching as best I can, but cannot find much on how to switch to the 2 piston SUV/Denali rear calipers. I want to know what parts and part numbers I would need to change in order to complete this swap.

I don't have the part numbers for you, but you will need the calipers, caliper brackets and the rotors as well. You will need the rotors due to the dual piston applications using a 28mm thick rotor instead of the 19mm rotor used on regular 1/2 tons. The brake pads are also specific to this application. For part numbers, you can use the SUV's, C3's, Denali's, Escalade's and SS trucks for applications.

Thanks, I was hoping it was just the calipers, but thought it might be more. I think the dust shields are different as well, but I might just try and cut mine.

I'm still trying to figure out if it would really be worth it since I am upgrading to Bear rotors, Hawk pads, SS lines, and Hydroboost.

Yeah, I saw that you are happy with your setup, but I'm wondering if this would make much of a difference with the larger tires and wheels.

My guess would be yes. The only thing I have done to the rear is hawk pads and ss lines, but bigger calipers are definately an option, as well as larger rear rotors perhaps.

I like the idea of bigger calipers on the rear instead of rotors so if I want to run a 15" wheel for the track, its still an option for the rear.

Yeah, and for some reason I just don't like the idea of stepping up the rotor size without a larger caliper and having an area that does not get worn.

well, i have done alot fo research into this swap, and the dual piston rear rotors are 13" in diameter, and the single piston ones are 12.8, so with some minor grinding you may be able to get the dual piston setup to work with a 15" wheel.

Im planning on doing this swap on my truck, along with the 05+ 13" front rotors and larger diameter piston calipers, but am waiting til i need to service the brakes to do the swap.

Do you know if doing these two swaps has any effect on the master cylinder? I'm just wondering if the proportioning would be changed with new components.

My 09 EC Silverado has rear drum brakes, how hard would it be to convert them over to disc?
