Default 2/4 drop question 2002 silvy 1500

Before ya'll flame me I searched and searched but really didn't get a clear answer. I am looking at dropping my wifes RCSB 2wd 02 1500 2/4 using a spintech spindle in the front and their shackle/hanger kit in the rear. My question is with the 4" drop in the rear will a c notch be required? Its a stepside (no rear bumper or hitch either) bed and my wife will probably never haul more then groceries and some luggage in it. I figured I'd have to trim the rear snubbers but will it bottom out under avg conditions? Probably use ther suggested drop shocks from spin tech and kyb gas-a-just stockers in the front. Running factory 04ish 17" with 255/55/17 tires if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance

I lowered my 04 rcsb 3" front and 4" rear with shackle/hanger and it hit constantly, it will drive you crazy. I finally installed DJM c-notch should have done it sooner.

I know when I did my 5" shackle/hanger drop on my ram I had the option of going either 4" or 5" on the rear, have to see if this kit is like that and maybe just go 3". I only have about 1.5"-2" between frame and axle tube on my Ram but the rear suspension seems a good bit stiffer then her Silverado. I just don't want her bottoming out everytime a good bumper or pothole is in the road and freakin her out lol

well, if u wanted a cheaper route, could put coils up front, i have coils and i like them. but i have an ext cab., so i needed a carrier bearing for my 2 piece driveshaft.. but lowering 2/4 shouldnt change it much. but definitely get a notch, get it done right the first time.
