I've always like the shackle&hanger combo myself and I think they give a more comfortable ride over leaf springs,IMO. Just make sure your're going to stick with a 2/4 for while because more than likely in the majority if time people always seem to want to go lower.

If you decide lower, you can just get a flip kit and that maintains a stock ride feeling with the notch.

I will say that a 2/4 is a more "functional drop" but if you want the look, go for the 4/6 to begin with. I got the 2/4 too starting out but ended up dropping it a little more... now, I'm at about a 3/5... and want to bag it... LOL... I dont guess I'll be completely pleased until the rockers are on the pavement.

I'm gonna move this to the suspension forum. You're right that it kinda covers both, but I think you'll probably get more feedback there.

I have a 2/4 from Hotchkis. Great kit. rides a little rough, but handles much better. Try searching for "2/4 drops" you should find a ton of info.

Default Drop

I would do the HOTCHKIS drop kit with the 4' lowering Leaf Springs. I have 2 sets of them and they ride and handle IMO better than factory. The only issue to keep in mind is that once you lower it 4' you will have to c-notch the rear if you plan on hauling anything.

The Hotchkis kit is a nice setup but just be 100% positive you'll stick to a 2/4 drop 'cause it's pretty expensive.

Agreed.

But if he wants to go lower in the front he has the option to use SPINDLES, and in the rear he can use his Shackles with a c-notch.
