2,4, auto light didnt come on for a while while the truck was in motion . The light came on today is this a sign of some danger in future?

May be the sign of a bad switch, it's a fairly common failure. Mine went bad a few years back, and the lights in the switch went out, and I believe that I even got a "service 4wd" light IIRC. I replaced the switch with a new one and it's been good ever since. I believe that some solder comes undone in the switch, and some guys have repaired their own at home, without having to go out and buy one

Encoder motors are also known to fail on these trucks, not sure of the symptoms when that happens. When I was window shopping NVG-149 transfer cases on ebay the other day, there were tons of encoder motors for sale.

My first guess would be the switch though, as I mentioned it happened to me
