Default 1st Rebuild- What parts to make tranny hold nitrous (100 shot)?

What parts do you guys change when you rebuild your tranny? I'm going to have mine rebuilt by the local tranny shop, it is totally fried.

Also I can think of is:

Transgo Shift Kit
Vette Servo
Tranny Cooler

Also, I'm going to spray it (100 shot) once the fresh built tranny is in.

What else?
Or will these parts hold the tranny for 100K miles on spray?

Thanks,
Nick

There is a lot more to building a trans that can hold that kinda power. Heavy duty clutch packs, hardened drum, Larger band... along with little tricks we throw in to make it all work. And they will never be garenteed for 100000 miles on spray.

sorry I meant 50,000 miles.

Do these aftermarket parts cost much more than the OEM parts.

Thanks,
Nick

there are websites that deal with the 4l60e. do a search in yahoo for 4l60e performance and you will find an abundance of stuff on it. i can't list the company i went through since they aren't a sponser but if you want the name pm me.

These guys seem to have alot of stuff for our trannys, I found a link to them on another thread, so I have no idea if they do quality work, just sharing.

I think the sunshell is a weak link.

high energy performance bands are a big deal... signifigantly stronger and wider than stock bands.
beast sunshell
"blue plates" type of friction plate (Probably need to look that up.. if not Borg Warner makes some really good friction plates)
dont forget the usual Vette Servo or Billet Servo
best tranny cooler you could find
possibly a deeper pan from B&M

and everything everyone else said.

We use a new clutch pack assembly the Z-Pac. It is a great mix from the race clutches and street.
