Default 1998 rcsb 2x4 4l80e swap, what can I do to add a slip yolk?

Hi guys, In the middle of doing the 80e swap and I know I need a slip yolk. I have a slip yolk out of a 4x4 1500 and it fits the 80e splines, its to long but what im wondering is can I just cut it short enough and use it for a slip yolk? Or are the splines to short on the 80e? Daily driver so im down now, any help please! Thanks!

Did you ever actually measure the length of the splines? If its like mine, around the 3 inches, I don't see how a slip yoke will ever work. The splines are just too short for that. I don't know if there is such a thing as a telescoping drive shaft for automotive applications or not.
