The only thing I know about the drum swap is a guy a couple years ago swapped the rear off his 05 into his 01 so he could run 15" wheels and had no problems. I can't remember the dudes screename, but he had a red rcsb with na 427 that ran 10s and was over in north Carolina I believe.
