14 bolt into my Escalade
#1
Well the stock ten bolt let go so i started doing my research on this forum and a few others. I saw what was involved on a few others swaps who have accomplished this. Basically what i was after was a rear end that i will not have to worry with giving me trouble for a while. the donor vehicle was a 2006 Escalade Esv. I found the axle on the internet and drove and got it. the installation was pretty straight forward. I had to change the brake lines over to the ones that were on my axle as to the new axle had a dual line feed setup. The new axle also has abs sensors at each tube. My truck does not utilize these so i did not worry with them. finally i had to install my e brake cable brackets (end where the cable hooks to the actuator.) here are a few pics
heres the parts out the old one...not completely sure but i don't think thats suppose to be in there
here is my custom rear axle lifter lol
last one with everything but the d shaft done
