Randy's Ring & Pinion is supplying me the 33 spline axles, ring & pinion, bearings, Eaton posi and a yoke for $1000.

Do you have a part number?

Not here at home. I'll post it up tomorrow evening.
By the way, I have searched the wrecking yards for 3 months trying to find one.

I appreciate it.

I gave up on the salvage yards after the 20th spam claiming to have the part only to say "We don't carry drive train" or somethign when I called...

The part number I used is #19121582, which is just for a bare housing. GM list is $1821.43...they are plenty proud of it! Should have mine Friday.

I'll have about $2600 in it complete but that does not include the 05-06 drum brakes which I already have. This thing should handle some serious HP.

Why cant oyu get a 14 bolt out of an hd and swap the axles out thats what I planned on doing when time cam. Moser 6lug 33spline axles are only like 300 for the pair.

The flanges are different and the center sections are different. Plus they are a lot heavier. The HD rears have big 30 spline floating axles. The biggest reason I went to drum brakes in the first place is so I could run 15" wheels and have any choice of size in slicks or drag radials. GM may offer the 14 bolt/9.5" housing with the disc brakes but I'm not aware of it.

IM not worried about weight Ill have the power to move on out, I just want a bullet proof rear. Elaborate on teh flanges and center section being different please. I want to keep discs as I will be going to drag radials on my 18s all the way around since Im 4wd.
