Default 14 Bolt Diff change

Anybody done one? Is it something I can do my self, I would call my self an experienced handy man. Im looking to get maybe an electric locker (any reviews) or some kinda lsd.

Unless you're very talented and have all the right tools, I would leave this to a professional. There are shops where this is all they do, reason being, it requires more than the normal amount of expertise. Maybe moregrip will chime in, he had a Detroit Locker installed in his 14-bolt a little while ago.

Your diff has to be set up with the correct preload, backlash and get a good wear pattern on the teeth. If you can find a place that will do the work for $200 to $300 use them. The tools will easily cost that much.

If you are willing to spend the extra money for the Eaton Elocker go for it you will be pleased, I personally use them in the front and rear. It's very nice to flip a switch and your front and rear axles are locked, I think the Elocker is the only locker for GM IFS.

Thanks for the input, I think I will wait to do the lockers untill I have some 4.56's to throw in too. I see bigger tires in the very near future.
