I guess it has to do with the leafs and the mounting brackets.

Like I said, Pull them off and check.

Thats a shame.

I guess you won't be able to crawl under there real Quick to measure from the outside of the leaf spring to the face of the backing plate on your 14 bolt and tell me that it's about 5 1/2 inches Just like on a 10 bolt???

Lol cool! I'm too poor to afford a 14 bolt right now anyways lol. So I got the 10 bolt and dropped off with JamesB chassis works last night. Going with everything I mentioned earlier and he recommended 33 spline axles and the trutrac to match. Anyone else run 33 spline axles over the stock 30 I believe?

1bad2k you're gonna love it when you're finnished. I went to about the same setup under mine but you hace a shorter wheel base and waayyyyy less weight the 149 made it so much fun to drive.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like they make anything but 28 and 30 spline truetrac for the 10 bolt...30 spline it is.

Yeah man, I can't wait. The truck ran like a raped ape before the 80e. I think I'll be back there after the gears, and the 149 is so much better than the 246 that's in there now.

The stock axles are stout, but they don't snap, they tend to bend. Myself and many others have done it.
