Maybe your tape measure is not properly calibrated.

I have Physically measured both while they were off of the truck. I also have several in my possession.

I have never done the GMT900's but my understanding is the outer dimensions are the same.

Maybe it's an optical illusion?

The AXN 14 bolt's use the same axle tubes as a 10 bolt counterpart. The difference being that they are slightly shorter to accommodate the larger 14 bolt casting. They also Swedge the tubes out to fit in the casting as it is larger were the tube is pressed in to the casting and rosette welded.

They use the same bearings and axle seals as a 10 bolt as well as the brake hardware. The only difference is the brake lines are different.

I have an 05 with a 14 bolt and it has the same factory rims as my 06 with the 10 bolt. From the outside you could not tell a difference in the rim offset.

I have also parted out several of these trucks and physically measured them while they were out of the truck.

The wheel in the picture Proves nothing. I have no Idea what vehicle it's on, what size the tire and rims are, What rear end it has, Or any other info.

Why not take them off and measure the WMS to WMS with the brakes on.

that pic is with a 15x11 with 7" with a 315 radial on, this was taken on my 2002

my two rears must be 1 off rears to measure wider then the 10 bolts they both replaced

but since this is on the internet then it must be one of us is wrong and other is right but since 2006 my truck has had a wider track, then when i installed my 14bolt in my 2010 it gotten a wider track

so ill just say im wrong even thou they are wider on both my trucks

I have heard of rear ends being shifted in relation to the body and frame.

I guess it has to do with the leafs and the mounting brackets.

Like I said, Pull them off and check.
