Default (1/8th) Ran an 8.33.. then 37.10 seconds.. Torque converter?

Well ifs been a long time coming.. either the fuddle stall or transmission crapped on me today..

I could use some help figuring this out..

Well, symptoms started when I was launching.. got a good launch, then stopped accelerating and just revved.. couldn't get any higher than 2nd gear.. Well on the way home at 25-30mph I tried it again and was able to get into 3rd(manually selecting gears the entire time) and finally it would decide on its own to get into 4th.. but only rarely..

This is making me think its the fuddle stall that decided to give up.

What do ya'll think?

I hope its just the stall since ive lasted 1 year on a stock 4l60E with a 408 lol, I want to break a record or something, at least until I can afford to go buy an 80E swap lol..

Any experts? FLT guys?

Thanks!

Well, if it IS the transmission yea, but if its just the stall I want to put the stock one back in for now while the fuddle is rebuilt so I can ebay it, then I will go with the new tranny.. this gives me time to save up now that it has hit me how bad I need an 80E lol.. I am thinking of the level 4 80E from FLT, then the conversion from speed engineering, and a vig stall, the triple disc one..

That should set me up for a couple years at least.

Hearing a popping noise in rear end now.. Could a failing/failed g80 cause any of the problems i mentioned in the first post, or is it just that both are going out(or are out)?
