Default 06 quad cab lowering issues...

ok i have an 06 silverado quad cab. its on stock wheels and i recently put 2" spindles, 2" leaf springs and shackles on it... i only put shocks on the front to stop the front from being so spongy and prevent the tire from hitting the finder on big bumps. well the issue is i had shackles on the truck to begin with and after the spring instal the rear is the exact same height.. the front is lower right on the tire where i wanted it but now it has a bad rake to it... the spindles and shocks are bell tech and the springs are mcgaughys.. i called them about the springs and they said it takes time for them to settle. so I've now got about 200 miles on them and nothing...the springs look to be right when i looked at them compared to the stock ones.. but whats the issue here.. i don't wanna sink more money into buying more springs or a flip kit or whatever.. do y'all think the stock rear shocks are hindering it from dropping all the way? also i made sure all the bolts werent over tightened to prevent binding... and what shocks would y'all recommend me running without sacrificing comfort.. it rides really good and i bought those springs cuz i heard they where the best and rode well...someone help me out here please...

I strongly recommend putting the stock leafs back on. The ride goes straight to shot once that is done. And if your wanting a decenet ride but everyone once and a whilie see it stupid low go with some air shocks. I have a flip kit and air shocks. If you go to low without doing it proper you WILLL break a drive shaft. Happened to me. Just passing on info that I have learned. unless your just wanting a little less drop then what I have

Sorry my bad, man I am not sure, but as far as air shocks go, it might help it go lower when you let all the air out of them.

no reason to be a ***** he was offering help and advice, a thanks for the input but thats not really what Im looking for would have been nice....

but as for springs it takes longer then 200 miles for them to settle, and I would say go with a nice set of drop shocks from belltech or djm that will help a little as well.

You may be riding on your rear bump stops. With most 4" drops in the rear they will need to be mounted to the frame and cut down a few ribs.

Airshocks FTW!!!!! haha

The bump stops have been cut. And livefast what's ur number I'll text them to u. And tell me what u wanna see exactly. I ordered some belltech shock lastnite for the back. I just hope they don't ruin the ride quality. Thanks for the input
