sounds like a ticking time bomb to me...mine doing ok(knock on wood) with just cam boltons and tune. but the torque from the 6l and spray sounds like a killer. do a search, read some horror stories

Gonna move this one over to the GM Drivetrain and Suspension section where it belongs, never seen a 4L60E stuffed internally into an engine yet...

lol, that trans will last forever with that combo! They are pretty much indestructible.

J/k, I wouldn't run much more than a stock 6.0l with that trans. And also, I saw in one of your other threads you found a 6.0 for $3200? Please tell me you aren't going to pay that much. They can be had with 70-80k miles for $800, or 30-50k miles for 1k-1200 fairly easily. Don't be afraid of 70k miles, that is barely broken in yet.

Try Car-Part.com, they have the inventory of most all junkyards that keep a computerized inventory.

Ouch, painful reading there. The 4L60E is not good for long with much more than stock power. I've heard of guys twisting output shafts off in a matter of days. I've been lucky so far with mine, but don't trust it.
