04 brake upgrade

what was upgraded in 04 that i hear so much about. I have 17'' wheels now so i might concider it

05 got an upgrade- rear drums, new master and booster. Much better feel.

dont they have bigger brakes which is why they cant run 16s?

ya the fornt end got b igger rotors in 05 and i beleieve its a twin piston caliper . thats in 05 , the 04's can still run 16's

o well to be completely honest im not a brake guy . all i know is there changed something in the caliper , bigger rotors , proportional valve and drums in the back . and the master .

They put bigger rotors and a different caliper.

Sorry to dredge this back up but did anyone ever figure out if the 05 rotors and calipers are a direct bolt on to the older trucks(99-04)?? Also if it is even worth doing instead of upgrading to eradispeed + 1 kit?? THANKS!!
