Default 02' Silverado Maggie intercooler and Tru Cool 40k

i made a post asking about how to mount the trans cooler under bumper. Well i took a look at truck and my lift kit wouldnt allow me to mount it under there anyways.. I looked where AC cooler amd stock trans cooler are in front of radiator. Quite frankly i dont think there is enough room to mount intercooler and trans cooler in there. Has anyone installed both a trans cooler and intercooler in am 02 silverado? Or do i have to remove AC cooler to make room? If i did remove AC cooler what would be best way to mount intercooler? The trans cooler in front then intercooler or the intercooler in front?

Just rear mount the trans cooler with a mini fan if you don't think you can fit it in the front.

The air passing under the truck will help cool the fluid, seen it done many times before.

How would i do that? I heard of that too but not sure how labor intensive that is with having to re route trans lines. What would i do with old cooler and hard lines?

Either mounting in the front or rear, I would make my own an -6 stainless braided lines.

Ive thought about doing it that way but how would i run my own cooler lines? Just disconnect them at the trans amd run back to the cooler? I think i may take condenser off anyways to make 5 inches of extra room. And plug hoses just in case so i can use it again. Unless i can find an easy way to run lines to the back

Take a step back and think about it for a second, your question is a very simple one.

You "buy" new lines, as in you buy the correct fittings and make new rubber cooler lines. Nothing about a rear mount cooler install is factory so you'd need to make some 5-6 foot cooler lines. Just remove the factory cooler and lines if you do it this way.

Installing the cooler under the truck would only require you to make a mounting point of some sort. This was just an option and would allow you to keep everything else on the truck.

I think ill just remove the condenser to buy room and install the tranny cooler in between the intercooler and radiator and keep a good space between them. if that doesn't keep my temps down then ill just look into moving the trans cooler to the back and put the condenser back in ... the AC doesn't function as is anyways and I barely would use it so no biggie there. does the heat use the condenser at all?
