Default '01 2500HD Crew 4x4 - 140K on stock brakes?

is it normal to get 140,000 miles on the OEM stock brake pads? i tow a 24' enclosed trailer w/ a road race car (12K-15K loaded) about 10-12 times a year. been doing that since it was new. the trailer has some brakes, but not much.
anyays, i dont drive it easy by any means, and i'm shocked the brakes are lasting this long. my last 3-4 company work trucks (all 3/4 tons - Ford/Dodge) all only lasted about 35K.
how much longer will they last? i quit checking thickness at 100K.

Typically they last around 60,000 miles on a half ton but the brakes are smaller. I've seen some half tons that were past 100,000 on original pads and they were still about half there. HDs have a lot bigger brakes and as long as they are kept out of the mud and dirt (the rears get groved and ate up easily) then they seem to last a long time. I would pull the wheels off and take another look at them, inside pad and outside pad since the inside pads naturally tend to wear a little faster and if they are still good keep on going. I know the half tons came with ceramic pads from the factory and I am assuming HD's did too. Ceramic pads disipate heat better, don't get as hot and don't make nearly as much brake dust as semi metallics do. The amount of time you spend driving stop light to stop light makes a difference too.

i have 110000 on the fronts and they are still half left, the rears i had to replace at 80k, this is on my half ton crew cab. I did them on a guys 02 2500hd i work with and he had 177k on the stockers. they sucked to get apart but they lasted a long time. My 02 2500 avalanche work truck had 145k on the stockers when i replaced them, they still had a little bit left on them too, and i have frequently had a combined weight of a little over 20k on a certified scale!.

Normal. I replaced my rear brakes at 100,000 miles, front brakes still looked nearly new. It was only the right rear inboard pad that was worn out, which I have seen countless times..........

i had the wheels off today for other reasons. i still have 9/32" from rotor face to the squeeler clips on the pads. i'm thinking another 30K out of them.

I had 175k miles on my stock pad/rotors up front. still had alot of pad left and no lip on the rotor. Could have gone alot longer, but i was tryin to sort out some brake issues so i replaced them with EBC rotors/Pads, SS lines, and then finally Hydroboost brake setup.. its awesome now.

but im sure i could have gotten well over 200k out of the stockers. And i tow trailers, play in the mud and do alot of hard braking at the track.

Mine is a Half ton tho...

we have a 07 2500 Dodge with 75k miles on it, front brakes were replaced at 64k? miles i think.
Boss's 08 2500 Dodge, his were replaced at 45k miles.
07 classic 2500HD GMC 112k miles still kickin the stockers.
Excursion eats the brakes up about every 75k miles.

125K on my old Z71 and Ive got a little over 100K on my 2500HD and they are still good. I have 35" tires and tow a lot and they still have a good amount of pad left on them.

Update:
153K and still over 1/4" to the squealer clips. I'll hit 200K at this rate.
I drive the total **** out of it, and even harder w/ the 28' enclosed 10-12Klb trailer.
