Agreed! I just think that trucks fare better from a dig than a roll, but I guess that really a truck is at a disadvantage vs a car from any race.

I would have to disagree. Its not easy to get a truck to hook. No weight in the back. The majority of trucks pull horrible 60' times in comparison to cars. Once you get the weight moving it is far easier to increase the pace in comparison to getting it going from a dig.

With Lightnings Digs are normally better races due to the power band of the truck. Lots of torque and many times with smaller pulleys the power is all down low. The tiny hEaton doesn't help either. I'll take a dig any day of the week of a roll in this tank. Same with the Talon, but it really wouldn't matter either way, the auto is just happier from a dig. lol

In the end its all about what your set up to do. I roll race sometimes just because i dont get an a chance run from a dig very often.

my ss is faster on roll once all the weight is moving.

my 96 i never really did rolls. it was either a dig or nothing, unless for fun.

but i purpose built that for digging on the street. 35r standlaone cammed evo9's couldnt get me out the hole leaving on two steps hooking. but on a roll it felt slow lol. when i finally brought it to the track on the small shot it felt like i left the same on the street.

i love the whole stomach and chest sunk in the seat feel when you leave hard on the sreet. at the track its exspected.

I don't always roll race, but when I do, I prefer 70 to 140.
P.S. Both sides of my pillow are cold

My truck is slow from a dig because its on a stock converter but when it had a 3600 converter it 60's better but didnt gain any mph nor did it pull any better on the street. My truck on a 3200 converter, 3:42s was a monster from a roll but only clicked 13.0 @ 103.x

Id go from a dig or a roll it doesnt matter to me, its all a rush

Id like to go back to that setup but i like the setup i have now since i have 6 gears and still get 22mpg with a big cam.

this is why i choose turbos on an awd truck best of both worlds , i can run from either end and it keeps on pulling . im still scared of my truck launching though , id honestly prefer to run from a roll now a days .
