Chase, you don't have enough power to roll race everyone knows awd takes away hp so you should be putting down what 300.................... Trillion hp right?

well to be honest when we roll race (700+hp/800ftlbs car) its 60-160 or 60-200.... because there really isnt a STREET TIRE that will hook that much HP/Tq with out heavy pedal effort... then its a pedaling game... **** that.. hit it at 60 pedal 1 gear slam 3-4-5 and be done!!! plus if the cops show up its harder to catch a group doing 160 plus!!.. and for what its worth.. my car can do digs at the track.. but **** no one wants to race there cause there all either 1/8th or 70 miles away

I have done tons of roll racing on the HWY just cause you don't have much options when clipping along at 70MPH and the little rice burner in the far lane thinks he is a badass. Around town I am all about trying to catch them at a red light and seeing who can get across the intersection first

I roll race cus the guy in his vette or camaro, wont stop in the higway and go from a dig, like said before if its a setup race im going from a dig, but im gonna race when and where i can, racing redlight to redlight is stupid, youre just asking for a ticket, plus its to dangerous, its one thing to kill yourself or the guy racing you cus you both assume the risk, but the family in the minivan dont, when we race from a dig we got a place in the country so no real chance of hurting anyone, back on point though, someone that asks to do a roll race is usually making up for lack of driving ability or poor suspension.

Or lack of converter... My old truck went 9.0 at 80 in the 1/8th

However, the same trucks that went 8.7s or so at the track would get left by 2-3 plus trucks on the street...

For those that don't think roll racing is "real" racing... check this out, you can't tell me this isn't real racing?!

You haven't found the right ones...lol. I prefer dig racing actually, even now that I do have a car that is geared for the highway. But really I just like racing and you won't see me turn one down!

I can see this, I went 8.9's in my bolt on 4.8 crew, but it was much quicker at the track than on the street. It was awesome for the first 300 feet. I went 8.9 at only 75.5 mph.

my 96 i never really did rolls. it was either a dig or nothing, unless for fun.

but i purpose built that for digging on the street. 35r standlaone cammed evo9's couldnt get me out the hole leaving on two steps hooking. but on a roll it felt slow lol. when i finally brought it to the track on the small shot it felt like i left the same on the street.

i love the whole stomach and chest sunk in the seat feel when you leave hard on the sreet. at the track its exspected.

Cammed and 35r = top end monster. Sure you'll take him off the line but by the time you hit the traps he's 20 buslengths ahead of you. My 35r DSM was bottom 10s and we had the Evo running high 9s on the same turbo. DSM would have went faster but I was on streets with sh*t for traction.
