Yeah guys I was surprised just how heavy these SOBs really are.

5690 lbs is my race weight.

5400 lb truck & 290 lb driver, Snug Lid, Bed Rug, 20" tires & wheels, trailer hitch, ball mount and 1/4 tank of gas.

No weight reduction yet, but if there is any truth to the one tenth decrease in ET for every hundred lbs of weight reduction then I am definitely beginning to consider losing some of the weight since this is not my DD anymore. I have a truck to daily drive and tow with.

My worries currently are traction, I am spinning on even flat foot launches with no stall up and I am spinning way to much on the 1-2 shift already so I don't want to lose any weight from the rear of the truck yet for sure.

I am working on a new setup for my wheel/tire combo that is going to remedy the traction problem, plus be lighter at the same time so at that point I will see if I can lose couple hundred lbs from the truck.

Now on the future plans of the truck (like a couple years from now) there will be a lot of weight reduction done, but at the same time weight will be added with the roll cage, etc so we will see where she ends up. Hopefully I will find enough hp to over come the weight though.

Finally weighed mine...2009 cc silvy, 2wd.

No spare or tools,
a few other minor weight reduction mods...

4810 without me in it and with 1/2 tank. Tailgate on, all seats in, bumpers on..lol.
In other words, that is my full weight street trim.

I know that I can shave prolly another 100 lbs pretty easy, and still have all the seats still, floor mats, tailgate etc.....

With all those items pulled for race trim I figure I can get down to about 4500 without me in it

Nice man, that's like 600 lbs less than me so it should net you a 6 tenths advantage over me in the 1/4 mile!

Well if you are really 375ish and you subtract that from 5840 you get 5465 and then take the full tank of gas and other parts in the back seat into consideration you would be right around 5300 to 5400 where mine is so now that makes more sense to me.

5635 is my yukon denali's weight with a full tank , spare , rear seats and stock tyres and rims without me .. now i have my 3rd row removed , spare , tools.. jack etc.. waiting for my rims to arrive then going with shorter tyers maybe thinking about removing the 2nd row since no one even sits in the back haha and maybe custom a fiber hood and i weigh about 140 so that helps haha

Why weigh it with out being in it? I mean your sitting in it when you race it.... So why does the curb weight matter? Just askin.....
