Default why is there no solid information on injector fitment for our trucks?

Is it just me or is there no real solid information on injectors? Obviously for a truck manifold and rails the 8.1s and 8.1 marines fit, but what about for something bigger. What specs does the injector need exactly? Has to be 48mm? will longer fit? will shorter fit? The connector part is easy. But when looking online for injectors there's almost no information.

It seems its hardest to find information about a truck intake/rails. I bought some 60lb injectors, the only thread on this forum referencing them had one person saying they would fit fine with new pigtails, and another saying they'd require spacers to fit.
Where do you find spacers? Do they have to be specific to the injector? How do I know how much of a spacer to get?

How is there no sticky explaining injectors and and what is required to work for each intake/rail setup? Does anyone even know or is it just something you throw money at and hope they fit?

For the nnbs trucks 07.5+ and the trailblazer SS SUVs they have a off size injector that nobody really makes any aftermarket sizes for but the EV6 LS2 type injectors will work just fine. The stock size is 1.9 inches and the ls2s are 2.1 inchs. You can run the "short" style ls3-7 injectors but they require the FAST injector spacers to bring them up to the right hight. These spacers will work with any brand injector might just need to change out to a smaller or thicker O-Ring. The adapter connected to a ls3 hight injector will make it the proper hight for a ls2 fitment and the adpater coupled to a ls2 injector will make it the same hight as a ls1 injector. As far as I know the older trucks 99-02 use the ls1 type injector, 03-07 non flex fuels use the standard ls1 hight injector but a truck specific connector and the 05-07 flex fuel versions run the same injectors as the nnbs trucks do.

and I've been searching for two days. I found direct fit injectors but they're pricey. The injectors I bought we're reasonable but I'm not sure what I'll need to make them fit my stock 4.8

65lb EV1 - 107962, SIEMENS DEKA IV, "COMPACT" LENGTH - Fuel Injectors MOD Sets - Siemens Injectors & Lucas Injectors - Racing Fuel Injector Sets - 107962 - 65LBS/HR, 680CC/MIN

Will I need the 12mm extender? There's just no specific information regarding what will fit and what won't.

Thanks for updating your post. It seems as though I bought an LS7 style connector.
Any idea what I'll need to run this on a NBS 4.8? Stock injector is 48mm. The ones I purchased are 37mm. Is there a 11mm spacer? I see the 12mm spacer on the site but it says that a 12mm spacer is required for ls7.. but an ls7 is a 37mm injector.
3. - INJECTOR W/ 12 MM EXTENDERS & ELECTRICAL ADAPTER: Use for "Standard" injector applications & EV6/USCAR electrical connector harness; LS7, Volvo 2.5L, Ford 2.5L
See my confusion?

So these FAST spacers will adapt the LS7 style 1.5" injector to the NBS 99-06 1.9" injector?

Ok so you have ls7 hight injectors and need it to fit a older truck, correct?

If the injector you have is the same hight as a LS7 and you need it to be ls1 hight you will have to get new injectors because as far as i know the adapters will not make the 1.9" injector you have tall enough. You can always use a little taller injector not a shorter one as the rails can be spaced up not down.

Yes, I have a 99 Silverado 4.8 and if I'm correct this is LS7 style injector
. 65lb EV1 - 107962, SIEMENS DEKA IV, "COMPACT" LENGTH - Fuel Injectors MOD Sets - Siemens Injectors & Lucas Injectors - Racing Fuel Injector Sets - 107962 - 65LBS/HR, 680CC/MIN

But the website says
3. - INJECTOR W/ 12 MM EXTENDERS & ELECTRICAL ADAPTER: Use for "Standard" injector applications & EV6/USCAR electrical connector harness; LS7, Volvo 2.5L, Ford 2.5L

I don't need LS1 height (60mm) I need 48mm/1.9" truck height.
The injectors I bought according to http://www.summitracing.com/parts/acc-74620s
are 1.760 inches/44mm
according to http://www.siemensdekadealer.com/spe...s/FI114962.jpg
are 34.5mm
and according to 65lb EV1 - 107962, SIEMENS DEKA IV, "COMPACT" LENGTH - Fuel Injectors MOD Sets - Siemens Injectors & Lucas Injectors - Racing Fuel Injector Sets - 107962 - 65LBS/HR, 680CC/MIN
are 1.5"/37mm
