Anybody use one? It seems like I plug fuel filters too often, and $30.00-40.00 for a replacement element is money I could use elsewhere. It seems like an oil filter-type filter would be cheap, and hold a lot more of whatever my local fuel distributors are leaving in my gas. Would a diesel filter work? How about an oil filter?

I like the fact that it has 187 sq. in. of water separation media that apparently does not quit flowing in the presence of water, like paper does. It also has a water trap in the bottom, and 250 psi burst strength.

I am currently looking for a filter to put between my tank (dual 400's) and intake. I was originally going to go with a 40 micro inline, but thought a spin on would be easier to change. What micro are the sock filters on the pumps?
