Default returnless fuel system

Im working on an 04 Silverado which does not have return, the guy put a 255 pump in the tank otherwise all stock, im having vary odd fueling problems, it will randomly go lean on one bank, sometimes it just dies like its out of fuel you wait a few min it runs again, saterday it surged real bad at idle till it warmed up and idled fine till I went to go drive it and any time I got into any throddle at all it just ran and died ran and died, im getting a gauge today to make sure but im 95 percent sure its losing fuel pressure cause I can hear the pump run freely then pull down and pressure up after it dies. Iv never messed with this style fuel fuel system before, any idea's?

Have u checked the line in the tank from the pump to bucket? I've had 3 trucks here local that they went bad on. It was supposed to be submersible fuel line that the walbro came with but same with the others I did. They got brittle and cracked. J

I have stock tank bucket lines all the crap to make it return style if he decides to do that. Would be a nice upgrade to the truck

Use the 99-02 tank and bucket deletes the intank regulator or just gut the 04+ bucket and tap the fuel rail for a regulator up front and use the evap line as a return. Very simple to rig up

Frank I haven't got into it much yet, I was just thinking of converting it to return style if other people have ever had problems with this system, can't afford a pressure drop with a nitrous motor. Just trying to gather a little info on this returnless system at the moment to see if its worth messing with.

I have a 02 pump bucket I can put the 255 in, then just get a return rail and run a 4an line back to the bucket, but ill look into it a little more and see what all is really needed

That would work as well but those filters are kinda pricey. Be cheaper to just swap the fuel rails over to return style since most guys have a set or 2 laying around
