Default return to return less pump

I have a 00 silverado and have the return less fuel rail running a vette fuel filter for he return side. I want to swap a aeromotive 340 in and use the return less bucket. Is that a better option or should I stay return style and modify my stock bucket?

I would do return with an aftermarket FPR. I doubt that filter can properly regulate the pressure with that pump.

That's why I was thinking return less because the regulator is in the fuel bucket and upgrade to the hot wire kit as well. Plus I could get my fuel lines in a better angle

You want the 04-07 tank and bucket actually since its a lot bigger and able to hold multipe pumps without cutting it up. I would do a real FPR instead of the vette deal, and real fuel rails will probably make that easier.

I will have to do one at a time. I have the cash for the pump, bucket, and hotwire. What rails should I buy? I have the NNBS square rails now

The 04-07 fuel tank is not needed with a single pump. Even with 2 walbro 450 in my 00 I haven't experience any issues.

The 99-03 bucket shouldn't need to be modified in any significant way to accomodate that aftermarket pump. If anything, you may just need to enlarge the filter opening at the bottom.

So I can run a aeromotive stealth 340 in my stock bucket and add a fpr in line

Yea, you could, but if you want to do dual pumps sometime I would consider the later tank/bucket. You can do twin pumps in a 99-03 setup, but you run the possibility of sucking the bucket dry if you are low on a low fuel level.
