Default meth nozzle question

Was planning on adding dual devils own do14 nozzles when I get a meth kit and was Prolly gonna run a 70/30 mix. How much will this help my injectors as far as taking duty cycle off of them once retuned? Running maxed out 57# fast injectors. The nozzles flow 14gph ( 882 ml/min ). Any edumacated guesses welcome ha ha. Thanx

How much meth you run won't change your duty cycle. You still need the required amount of fuel. Meth just makes it more safe on the engine to run more timing and boost by cooling and raising the octane level. I would suggest to just get bigger injectors as it would be baouts you went too lean and blew your motor knowing you were running out of fuel.

not a good idea to make up for a lacking fuel system w/meth. it will richen you up some tho. running that much meth you will need to pull some fuel out of the tune. my a/f went from 11.4 to 10.8 w/ single do14 nozzle.

What he said, meth isn't to be used to make up for a lacking fuel system.

If you are running enough meth to make a difference then you will have to adjust your fueling for it or you will be pig rich. If you are running dual 14gph nozzles then you will have to tune for it or you'll be so rich it will bog. Assuming my math is correct, with twin 14gph nozzles you will be using .9 oz per second of meth if 100% or roughly .6 oz a sec if running 70/30.

A 57lb injector flows 8.5gph

If you add 28gph of fueling or 19.6gph @ 70/30 mix you have to adjust fueling somewhere. You are significantly increasing your fuel flow and it will either bog when the meth kicks in or you will have to remove gasoline from the tune to compensate for the addition of meth.

That's exactly what I plan on doing. I know its gonna Prolly go pig rich without a tune update. I will slowly lean it out to get it back where it needs to be.

Contact FIC. Fuel Injector Connection in Atlanta. You man be surprised how cheap he can help you. Relying on meth for fueling may not be the safest practice, but some of the fastest trucks on here do it.

Thanks black4.8, That is the kind of answer I think is helpful to us first timers. (meth)

to get the most out of meth you need to tune for it, just if something fails in the meth system than boom. mine set up to be very aggressive on 93 octane, than i add the meth. piece of mind to push the tune a little harder.

I understand where you guys are coming from 100%. But there are a lot of guys on here spraying a lot of meth too. What would be the difference if I did it and my injector duty cycle got bumped back to the safe zone (80-85%) after retune. Let's say I wasn't maxing them out before I added the meth and they are at 50-55 % with meth. Then I started adding boost until I reached 80-85% on my injectors. Would you still tell me not to rely on the meth for fuel?

ive got a single M15 on straight methanol and it richens it up quiet a bit once it comes on. we tuned my truck to high 10's afr on meth and im at 100% on injectors. my tuner wants me to send them to FIC to get them opened up. i dunno how the devils own setup is but on my alky control its got a light that comes on when it comes on then changes once its at pressure, its bright LED thats right next to my boost gauge. its triggered off of the MAF and usually turns on but isnt at pressure after going past 0 vacuum.
