I have been searching for about 2 hours, trying to figure what 60lb injectors to use for a turbo 5.3. I have found information, but require a little clarification and consensation of the information that I have found.
I know that the 5.3 truck injectors are physically shorter than LS1 injectors and pretty sure I've read numerous places that the plug is different as well.
I know it requires a multec II style injector and alot have said to use the bosch 60 lb injectors because they are a direct drop in.
I know that years ago, the only option was to do pig tails for the plugs.
The problem lies in that when I try and look on racetronix's website or FIC and others, I don't find anything that really matches the information I have found from my searches or anything that really claims to be a "truck/5.3" injector.
I found one website: vividracing that had Delphi Multec II injectors, but have never heard of that site, so I don't really want to use it.
I'm trying to get a definitive part number, perhaps a little clarification and even better would be a vendor that has truck specific injectors on their website so that I can compare pricing and such.
Thanks,
James

Call FIC and tell them what you are looking for, they will get you exactly what you need, for a good price too. They sent me 48mm (short) 72# injectors with the correct adapters (USCAR to Multec II I believe) for my truck.
