I'm building a bucket set up right now for two Walbro 450's. I drilled and dremeled out a press fit hole for the walbro sock to press into on the bottom side of the bucket. That way, the main pump is always sucking fuel from the bottom of the tank. The second pump will run off a hobbs switch and will suck fuel from inside the bucket. Should work okay but haven't tried it out yet.

Once you start making enough power where draining the bucket becomes a problem under 1/2 a tank, your truck should have enough g-force where fuel likely won't be near the bucket anyway. I would just keep the fuel level high unless you have a sumped tank.

Might be a dumb question but when you run a sump tank you run inline pumps instead of intank pumps
