Default Fuel Composition Sensor Install

Anyone know of a install kit for this sensor(and wiring)? Im getting ready to do a Walbro 450 and I want to be able to run E85 whenever I want. So basically I need to install this fuel composition sensor even though my truck is a flex fuel because my year(2011) doesn't have the sensor and uses a virtual sensor.

I believe your ECM calculates fuel composition using the fuel level sensor and the O2 sensors.

Yea I don't think you can add the sensor. Those ECM's might not have pins for the sensor. And the OS's are programmed to use the 02's like you said already.

Yes it can be done. There are a few performance shops that can do it. You can convert it from the virtual sensor(computer reads O2's) to the actual ethanol sensor that installs in the fuel line. You just have to pin it into the harness connector.

I am also turbo too, so they had to basically disable my flex fuel tables in order to mess with the fuel trims during the tune.

I have not. I have a shop that can do it, but I wanted to do it myself if it wasn't to difficult. Thanks for the links though!

Got the fittings and sensor installed today and surprisingly there where no leaks. That PTFE hose was a pain to install on the fittings. Now I just need to wire it in and get it tuned for the e85.

I plan on doing this also when I get back from deployment. You shouldn't have to get it tuned for e85 so to speak as that's what the sensor is allowing the PCM to use it's tables to adjust fueling(possibly timing too) for the ethanol %... Which I'm sure you know or you wouldn't be doing this lol... Just clarifying you mean just tuning to enable the sensor..

Hope it works like it should, keep us updated..
