Explain fuel pump/injector
#1
I been doing research a lot. I would like to see somebody can explain to me about that issues. For example. I plan do a n/a engine 5.3 just aftermarket heads, cam, maybe nos for s10 truck Want take around 400 hp what size of fuel pump and injector need to be.
Another one question for 2006 silverado 5.3 want to run a turbo. Goal 600- max under 700 hp. Run a fuel flex and 93 ontace want keep good gas mileage like 20 mpg. What # injector will be, do you think if I get twin walbo pump with switch Hobbs. I just wanted to learn how it work with fuel system things. I think mine I'd returnless. Those fuel pump will be no problem if run low under 1/4 gas tank?

A set of 42 lb injectors, a stock pump will prob work. Not huge numbers. As for the 600+ yes a dual set up or a big single pump will work. A set of 60-80lb injectors is what you will need to fuel that. You never want to run alot with a low tank, 1 you can starve the pump if you decide to go WOT, 2 it can and will heat the pumps up. So it is not a good idea to run the tank that low.
