Default Drop in pump upgrade?, No Hacking!

Ok guys, this is what i got. Im putting a trick's front mount kit on my 09 sierra CC in about 4-6 weeks, and im trying to get all my ducks lined up. I plan on running 60lb injectors and right now im trying to figure out what pump to go with. Im looking at the walbro 255 and the 255hp, as well as the bosch 44. My main question is, out of these or others that i havent mentioned, which one is going to be a stock replacement or at least the closest to it. Im not wanting to go hacking up my factory basket, or having to do some custom lines/setup. But with that said, Im not going to be cutting any corners on this deal either. I just love my truck and dont want to cut up alot of crap to do this install, so im trying to find a pump thats basicly "drop in" and still support somewhere in the range of 450-500hp. Any feedback on installs, pump experiences and what pump all of you perfer would be a great help here as well!!

255 is the smallest out of the 3 pumps. 044 is major modding.. You still have to cut the bucket to get it in there, unless 07 up trucks changed bucket sizes.. I think you can run it inline, be on your way..

Here is a little write up I did when I did my 044

Very good write up! I think the 44 might be a little much for what im wanting to do, esp with the cutting that needs to be done to fit it. After the research Ive done, I'll prob just go with a 255 and be done with it. I know Skipperdaddy is running a stock pump on 42s, and he put down 522 to the wheels. If im anywhere close to that, not even over that much, I'll be smiling for a year! The 60's and a 255 should be plenty for what I need out of it, I think....lol. Whats your thoughts on putting a 255 inline and leaving the stock pump alone?

Not to hijack your thread, but how does your stock pump compare to the 255? How would the stock flex-fuel pump compare to the 255? Would the stock flex-fuel pump be a direct drop in replacement for the non-flex pump? The reason I ask is somebody on here (Smokeshow-I think) ended up going back to his stock pump after having problems with the 255.

The 255 inline with the stock pump should be enough for what you are looking to do.

I havent done much research on the factory pump, but I do know it flows more than the NBS stockers. Im positive Im going to upgrade it before my kit is put on, so considering the flow rates of that one hasnt been something Ive been looking at. But, Im sure some one on here could prob tell you the numbers for each off the top of their head.

I think it should be. Im not looking to make a 1000hp beast here, but somewhere in the range of 450-500 sure would be nice. Thanks for the info bud!

The Aeromotive 340 may be a good option for you. I think it is physically the same size as the Walbro 255.

Ive looked at that one as well. Being on kind of a budget here, I think the Aeromotive might be a little too much, cost wise, for what im trying to do with the truck. And im not saying that you can have too much fuel either, Im just trying to not spend the price of the truck on this install either, lol.
