Default do i need a fuel pressure regulator with my pro-flo intake??

I see many guys running a fuel pressure regulator with the holley high ram or edelbrock pro flo. I've also been told by many that its not needed since fuel pressure is regulated at the tank. I guess the question is, is a fuel pressure regulator needed? And if so, why?

Depends on where your at with your truck. Are you running stock lines, pump, ect? Are you making any power? If you are converting to a return system, the fpr is a must. Its hard to answer your question without knowing anything about your build

Sorry. LQ4 stage 2 243's. 229/230 .589-598 lift cam. I'm spraying a 150 shot. New set up will be 60lb injectors, the pro flo intake with 90mm TB. Factory pump and factory fuel return

If you have a factory return style fuel system, I believe the regulator is built into the fuel rails. What rails are you going to run with the pro flo? I would add an aeromotive or similar fpr.

BTW, you have a really good chance going lean when you add the 150 shot. The stock pump won't be able to keep up

Ill be running the edelbrock rails. And I have a aeromotive for (girlfriend for me it for Valentine's day. Lol) but this is why I'm asking, not sure if I need it or not. I've been staying the 150 for awhile without issues. I keep an eye on fuel pressure and A/F and all are fine. Or are you saying with the 60lb injectors? I'm running 44's now.

No I meant with the pump. But if you have the fpr, I would definitely add it to your system. Make sure it is plumbed in after the rails so the rails see fuel directly from the pump.
