Cannot remove fuel rails from intake?? 02 Tahoe 5.3L
I can't find my disconnect tool. I have the intake unbolted. I never need a fuel rail disconnect to do my F-body. I unbolted the rails and just moved the rails out of the way. I don't want to damage anything but i just cannot remove them from the intake. Do i have to go get a fuel line disconnect tool?

Sometimes when the injectors are in for a while they are a absolute bitch to get of the intake. Just gently pry it up evenly. As for the fuel lines try taking a 3/8 plastic vac tub like the one coming from the evap and if u have a little extra piece about two inches long then split the two inch piece down the middle length wise. You can then put it over the steel fuel line and slide it to the quick connect and release the prongs to get the line off. Just be careful to do it when the engine is completely cool because some fuel will leak and the exhaust manifold is right there. I've even used a medium sharpie marker and did the same to a two inch piece of the case and it will pop the connects off. Just find something and be creative.

Thanks for the replies. I'm done and surging idle is gone. I went and got a disconnect tool from a buddy. Still couldn't budge those injectors even with intake off
